Subtlety goes straight out of the window the moment "Take Me Down" begins...the band grooving into the glammed - up swagger of Silverhead without the sequinned cat-suits.whilst the inimitable Dr. struts like a fighting cock, throwing his best Alice Cooper sleaze at the mike..A thoroughly enjoyable 40 mins of Retro Rock delight! OMG, late to the party but this is some of the best occult infused doom stoner tackle I've ever heard. Reference points include Sabbath (obvs), especially with the Ozzy-esque vocals but there's also the melodiousness of early Heep mixing with a more contemporary occult rock sound. It starts in the 70's and makes it to the present day. The riffs are huge but it's their way with a hook that elevates this from your average doom/stoner fare. Very wonderful indeed! egg-magoo
